| The Crisfield Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched at 10:22 a.m. to a location near the station following a reported accident involving a vehicle and a bicycle.
Engine 203 responded with Assistant Chief Cavanaugh and two firefighters. Paramedic A801 responded, and Captain Hinmann (850) responded in a personal vehicle.
Captain Hinmann was the first to arrive and immediately began patient care, requesting support from the Maryland State Police Aviation. Engine 203 arrived soon after, and Assistant Chief Cavanaugh established command while investigating the scene. Paramedic A801 arrived on location, and the Crisfield Police Department assisted with traffic control.
One patient was transported by ground to the Crisfield Airport to await MSP Trooper 4. Engine 203 established a landing zone at the airport. MSP Trooper 4 arrived and the patient was transferred to the helicopter, which was bound for the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore.
The situation was brought under control. Command was terminated and all units returned to service. |
