Transportation Accident

The Crisfield Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched at 7:51 p.m. to the 110 block of West Chesapeake Avenue for a reported motor vehicle accident involving a pickup truck and a residential home.

Command 2, staffed by Chief Pruitt, responded to the incident. Rescue Engine 202, led by Assistant Chief Cavanaugh and six firefighters, and Ladder 2, led by Captain Lee and two firefighters, also responded. Paramedic 801 responded with two personnel.

Upon arrival, Chief Pruitt established command and began investigating the situation. Rescue Engine 202 staged by the command vehicle and provided scene lighting. Paramedic 801 arrived and assessed any victims involved. Crisfield Police Department closed the roadway. Ladder 2 was placed back in service at the direction of command and returned to the station.

After the investigation, it was determined that the incident resulted in property damage only, with no injuries requiring treatment or transport. Units were on scene for approximately 20 minutes.

Command was terminated, and the scene was turned over to the Crisfield Police Department to await a tow company. All units then returned to their respective quarters.
