Standby Marion Volunteer Fire Department

The Crisfield Volunteer Fire Department provided prearranged standby support for Station 3, Marion Volunteer Fire Department, during its Annual Sportsman Bash, held from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The standby crew consisted of Lieutenant Evans and five firefighters, with Captain Lee also present at the event.

Upon arrival, the Crisfield crew was directed to its staging area and warmly welcomed by the Marion Volunteer Fire Department. Throughout the event, the crew was treated to excellent hospitality and provided with a great meal. The two departments share a strong working relationship built on mutual respect, cooperation, and a commitment to serving their communities.

It was an honor for the Crisfield Volunteer Fire Department to participate in the fundraiser and provide assistance wherever needed. We are proud to support our neighboring fire department and were pleased to help ensure the event could be conducted safely.

Adding to the fun, Captain Lee and Lieutenant Evans were also fortunate enough to take home several prizes during the event.

The Crisfield Volunteer Fire Department extends its best wishes to the Marion Volunteer Fire Department for continued success with its fundraising efforts. Events such as the Sportsman Bash require months of preparation, from planning and selling tickets to coordinating the many details necessary to make the event a success. These efforts are essential in helping the department maintain the equipment, training, and readiness needed to continue serving the community.

With another successful event now behind them, the members of the Marion Volunteer Fire Department can take a well-deserved break and enjoy the results of their hard work.
