Water Rescue

Stations 2, 4, and 6 were alerted to assist two individuals who were kayaking and unable to return to Jane Island Campground due to high wind conditions.

Marine 2 responded with Assistant Chief Paro and three firefighters onboard.

The two individuals were quickly located. Upon arrival, Assistant Chief Paro established command at the scene.

The individuals were assisted in boarding Marine 2. No injuries or medical concerns were reported, and EMS was not required. They were transported back to the campground and helped to the dock.

Command was terminated, and Marine 2 returned to service. Station 4 and 6 canceled
