The Crisfield Volunteer Fire Department was notified of a fire alarm activation, with the reporting agency advising a gas alert detection.

Command 2 responded, led by Chief Pruitt. Engine 203 also responded, with Assistant Chief Paro and four firefighters.

Command 2 arrived first, and Chief Pruitt established command, reporting that nothing was evident from the exterior and began investigating
the scene. Engine 203 arrived shortly after and assisted with the investigation.

The incident was determined to be a false alarm. Once the scene was confirmed safe and secure, command was terminated and all units returned to quarters.
