Electrical Hazard

The Crisfield Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched at 1:23 a.m. for an electrical hazard after a caller reported arcing power lines and a partial loss of power.

Brush 204 responded to the scene, staffed by Assistant Chief Cavanaugh and two firefighters.

Upon arrival, Assistant Chief Cavanaugh established command and began an investigation. The crew located a utility pole at the intersection of Sackertown Road and Dulany, as originally reported, showing signs of arcing.

Command requested the response of Delmarva Power. The scene was determined to be safe, with no hazard present on the ground.

The situation was brought under control, command was terminated, and Brush 204 cleared the scene and returned to the station.
