On 7/4/2026, multiple area fire departments responded to a reported brush and grass fire in Marion. Chief Swift served as incident commander. A mutual aid request led to the deployment of several stations and initiated a tanker shuttle operation.

A report was received regarding a person stuck in an elevator. Rescue Engine 202 responded to the scene along with Assistant Chief Cavanaugh and six firefighters. Upon arrival, command was established. The situation was resolved, and the elevator was placed out of service pending necessary repairs.
