| The Crisfield Volunteer Fire Department was alerted at 4:14 p.m. for a commercial structure fire alarm activation. Engine 203 responded, staffed with Assistant Chief Cavanaugh and four firefighters. Upon arrival, Assistant Chief Cavanaugh established command and began investigating the scene. There were no visible signs of fire from the exterior, and crews were unable to gain entry to the building. A request was made for a building representative to respond. After a brief period, maintenance personnel arrived and determined that the alarm was false. The situation was placed under control. Command was terminated and Engine 203 returned to the station. |
