Reported Kitchen Fire

A kitchen fire was reported at an apartment complex, with the Crisfield Police Department and maintenance personnel advising that fire was coming from under a propane stove.

Rescue Engine 202 responded with Assistant Chief Bradshaw and four firefighters. Dispatch informed responding units that the gas had been turned off to the stove and the fire was out. Upon arrival, Assistant Chief Bradshaw established command.

Firefighters investigated the area using a thermal imaging camera and found no smoke or excessive heat. The situation was placed under control and additional responding stations were canceled. The crew remained on scene until the investigation was completed. Command was terminated and Rescue Engine 202 returned to the station.
